I was really surprised to see Nick Cave and the Badseeds in the SingStore, I don’t know why I thought that it would fall under his very strict policy of refusing to licence his songs for advertising.  A policy I have the utmost respect for I might add, there’s nothing more depressing than hearing a Beatles or Queen song advertising fabric softener or a new toll road.

SingStar is just another avenue in which to enjoy his and other musician’s songs by singing along and I think that Mr Cave might be down with that.

I thought my first purchase online through my PS3 was going to be the awesome Thexder but in fact it turned out to be three Cave songs:

  • The Ship Song
  • Into My Arms
  • Are You The One That I’ve Been Waiting For?

I think the sound quality could be a little better but then that’s not why we bought them.

Failed miserably last night trying to crack the 9000 mark on Fat Bottomed Girls, it will probably take some time.
