Mashing Buttons

a couple of gamers blogging about games

This is kinda new for me. New in that it’s the first time I’ve had a blog where I actually feel responsible for producing content.

I’ve had countless blogs in the past. I could argue I had one of the first: I maintained regular dated entries on a personal website which started exactly 12 years ago today (so that was 25 February 1998). And I’ve maintained personal blogs on and off ever since. Looking back in my archives I can see that I was never good at maintaining them, even when they were on my favourite topic (me!).

But now it’s different.

I like video games. I’ve always liked them. And I read plenty of blogs on the topic. What’s different this time is that I feel like we’re doing something a little different. Lee and I are providing honest opinions from honest gamers. We don’t try to pretend we know more about games than we do. We don’t try to add some industry insight with which we have nothing more than inferred experience.

All we know is what we’ve played and what we think. And that’s what makes the big difference.
