In an attempt to bring variety to the Mashing Buttons blog Greg and I have recorded the first podcast for the blog. I think we felt it was a natural extension of the site because Mashing Buttons was born out of gaming conversations.
It’s the first one so it is exceedingly long and after the first half an hour I stopped being so precious with the editing, so judge this solely as a pilot episode and next fortnight we should have things tightened up a little.

I shall listen to you cheating on the Midnight Movie Club whilst on my walk this morning.

You need to have at least one podcast up before applying to iTunes for the feed to be picked up – so next fortnight there will be a link.

Greg, to acquire the giant frog with a crown on We Rule you must buy the pond! And I noticed a roaming cow came into my kingdom when I bought the windmill and the silo.
The more you know!

If you have a slim ps3, you never the switch OS option anyway that ability anyway.
And Lee, I can't imagine how wet your pants would have been if you saw some of the things I've seen in games. You make me feel like Snake Plisskin as a player because nothing freaks me out anymore.
And Lee, in regards to Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2, you're welcome.
Sports: I don't like playing that kind of mode in team sports (individual player odysseys). In sports games, I always pick the worst team to coach and build it up to a powerhouse. I end up loving those teams in real life too. (Temple, Iowa State, Wake Forest and The Ragin' Cajuns in college football/gridiron, Boston Pilgrims in FIFA etc).
Game Length: I just finished an RPG I had been playing off and on for six months. I put 120 hours into its first playthrough… it was a great game, and I am going to be writing a Remembering post about it next week.
Tweaking: I like Armored Core-type games, so it is a given that I am a bit into the tweaking.
You know, I never finished the first Killzone come to think of it.

Grat podcast. I had no clue what you were talkign about half the time, but never the less it was a great podcast.
My favorite games are turn based strategy – basically because it takes me longer to lose those sorts of games. I'm playing on the Nintendo DS a lot at the moment and my favorite games on their are the party type games you can play wirelessly with another DS, as my daughter and I have soom pretty cool bonding experiences playing those.

The end of Killzone was quite satisfying but obviously opened itself up to a sequel. The end of Killzone 2 does the same but I didn't enjoy the cinematic ending as much – the final boss level though is better and harder.

Tracey's Nintendo DS is a girl's one because it is pink so whilst I have access to it if I want I don't play it especially in public. Actually in saying that I don't think I've EVER played it even though she has some pretty cool titles.
I'm told that Mario Kart is quite cool between two DS's.
